Andy Fernandez

Generalist Artist

I was born in 1993, I am a Visual Effects and Creative Generalist artist. From a young age, I spent hours painting, creating characters and short comics as a hobby. No long after I felt the need to add life to my ideas and that moment was when I decided to pursue the Art career. Not going after a specific discipline, but for multiple ones as I was increasing the need for new techniques to make the representation of my ideas better. When I moved to the United States in 2011, having access to the internet was a push that put myself on the right path to the Visual Effects and Design world. Generalist was my choice in the Film and Television Industry were I first started. I have contributed to design and animate titles, sequences, and graphics for world known television brands such as HBO, CNN, 20th Century, WGN America, Discovery, National Geographic, Science Channel, NBC Universal, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros, Spike, ABC, and much more.

My career is constantly rotating roles such as 3D Art, Compositing, Motion Graphics, Concept Art, Painting, Design. Through all the multitude of career roles, I still find time to go back to my hobby and draw fictional characters. Everything I put on those fantasy world, characters, and animated short stories have driven the pursuit of my ultimate goal, participate in a worldwide known movie o production. I still have a long way to go, but we may see things happen sooner, the persistence, hard work, and giving the best to each project has put me where I am today.
